Heroes 3

FYI. My announcement video from my other channel, Rando Calrissian.

I'm going to be doing a few things:
  1. Some more AI vs AI videos. Ostensibly to showcase the new (newish, I guess) Factory Town but also to mix it up with a few different heroes and terrains and stuff. The past series was pretty rigorous about attempting to level the playing field and just test the creature grown of each town against the creature growth of another. This time, I'll sorta do that, but relax the rigorousness a bit and do a few things just because I want to.
  2. Showcase my customized Travis Savoie soundtrack and the various custom Hero portraits that I have while I'm at it. In fact, I need to do some major updates here on the ALTERNATE CHARACTER PORTRAITS tag as I've made a lot of updates to various characters since last posting there. Turned all of the minotaurs into sasquatches, for example, because I don't like the minotaur portraits of any of them. The more I change, the more bold in terms of actual changes I'm getting, I notice.
  3. I should probably have another look at HIGH FANTASY X again, and maybe even consider renaming it, since my temporary X designation is gradually being phased out, starting (of course) with my main setting; DARK FANTASY X has been Shadow of Old Night for a while now. HIGH FANTASY X is the only other setting—well, that and SPACE OPERA X of course, although almost all of that was done when it had a different name anyway—that has a significant degree of work even done anyway. HFX is the one that I'm the most interested in seeing progress of the non-Shadow of Old Night settings.

DALL-Ewood NPCs 2

Joan Wilmere is a damsel in distress that presumably the PCs would save in the Southumbria leg of the campaign. I generated a lot of images of her. Some of them made her look too young, like 13-14 or so. I kept some of them, because that might make her more vulnerable and sympathetic so I might decide that they work, but as written, she's supposed to be about 16, and therefore young but still of marriageable age. I like the idea that she could develop a crush on a PC (or vice versa) and if she's too young, that's creepy. Anyway, I'm not posting the younger ones unless I decide that saving a young girl is a more compelling proposition than saving a girl that they might develop a courtship relationship with. (She is rich, to paraphrase Luke to Han Solo.)

And here's potential patron and major plot device for the SECOND season, Cult of Undeath: Alpon von Lechfeld.

And his daughter, Revecca, who becomes a damsel in distress herself, and later a potential late add PC and/or love interest for Dominic.

DALL-Ewood patrons and NPCs

I've got a lot of images. I'll dole them out over several posts...

Brythe, the mysterious cursed sorcery student has turned herself into a half daemon on accident. DALL-E censors didn't seen to like her much, but I got enough options to... well, to have options. They're all similar.

Alys is a different take on the femme fatale archetype; although she appears as a pretty country girl, she's actually a nasty undead wight-witch using magic to disguise her appearance. The ridiculous Bing censors really had a hard time with her, but I finally managed to get a few options that work. First, her disguise didn't give me any problems:

Here's her real form:

Finally, here's Anstal Tane. He's a much more mundane patron. But I had a hard time getting the AI to make him kinda chubby without making him morbidly obese. In the end, I kind of gave up and just took the more normal weight options.

DALL-Ewood iconics part 2

Already did Aelin, Ajax, Faye and Caitlin and Dominic. Here's Kazar, Kimnor and Ragnar.

The AI often forgot to make Kazar green, which just made him look like a shifty thug instead of specifically an orc. Some of those were actually good... But they couldn't be Kazar. I've got quite a few, but they're all equally good, mostly.

The AI really struggled with Kimnor. It simply didn't want to believe that I actually wanted light gray skin. In the end, the only ones I got that were the proper color weren't my favorites and the others weren't perfect. I edited the saturation down to nearly black and white levels, but it's still not ideal. Maybe I need to either convert them all the way to grayscale or just have more patience and keep trying, but for now this is where he is.

It also struggled with Ragnar, because it simply didn't understand the proper Viking-like shaved side of the head hairstyle. That said, once I eliminated all of the ones that were wrong, I ended up with a few excellent remainders.
