HOMM3 Modification - Tyris the Knight

Normally in the base game, there are eight "might" and eight "magic" heroes for each faction. So far, we've only done the might heroes for the first faction, the Knights of the Castle. We've actually done nine, because Beatrice was added to replace a hero with a Navigation specialty in maps that don't have water. The Castle faction, and the Knight class in particular, is especially "meaty" because a lot of other Knights exist in the campaigns, and many mods allow them to appear in other maps and random maps, for instance. However, right now, we're doing the last of the regular Knight characters, and we'll hit the additional characters later, after we do the "magic" characters for Castle, which are called Clerics.

Tyris is an interesting one. For a long time, I thought she was a he. Even after I found out, I forgot again and still thought she was a he. The character art is fine, I guess, if you don't mind a big man-jawed horse-faced woman. That may explain why she is supposedly never defeated in a joust; there's no way a woman can compete in physicality with a man unless she is a man physically. And the original portrait even has a shadow on her neck that looks a little bit like a scruffy beard. I assumed she was a stripling man or something. So, while I want to honor the original design, it's definitely a given that I want her to look more feminine than the original does a well.

All three of the AI's that resemble the original are pretty good. Ensrick's is probably (as usual) the highest quality, but the two Stable Diffusion options actually have prettier, more girlish faces. The helmet on Stable Diffusion 2 is a little weird, but the vibrancy of the colors is better. I might go modify Stable Diffusion AI to make the colors slightly more saturated, and maybe it'll look better and I'll switch it, but I've got a lot of other project on my plate; don't hold your breath. For the time being, and probably for a long time being, I've had to juggle the pros and cons of those three, and ended up with... ensrick as the best option.

WINNER: ensrick. Once again.

And what was StrikerX thinking? He has some good choices here and there, but the more I dug into his collection, the more I found some really weird choices.
