Small tracker update

Just a micro-update, not a full on update. First off, I talked last time about mowing the lawn. My lawnmower wouldn't start, though. I remember my son telling me at the end of the season that it was giving him trouble. I probably need to replace it; it's pretty old, and was fairly cheap when I got it. Sadly, even "cheap" lawnmowers aren't cheap anymore. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I think replacing it is a necessity, and ~$250 for even a cheap mower wasn't something I was hoping to spend. Sigh. I'm considering, for the first time, an electric mower. While the little Briggs & Stratton engines that I've had my whole life haven't exactly filled me with a sense of satisfaction with their reliability, I'm not a huge fan of my orange-corded weed eaters either, so I doubt that an electric mower is going to be something that I absolutely love. The mowers that I used to buy ever 4-5 years or so when they wore out used to cost less than $100. Now, I'd be lucky if I can get basically that same mower for less than $230 or even $300. That sucks. I either need to invest a bit more in a mower that actually lasts as long as I continue to own this house, or I need to figure something else out. I'm even seriously looking at mechanical (i.e. unmotored) push mowers. Which still cost almost $100. Crazy.

Anyway, we're about to get another weekly reset tomorrow, which mostly only impacts my finalization of the season 2 achievements that I'm trying to finish. I need to do weeklies through the rest of May to get to 100 complete, and I need to stay on top of the reputation. In fact, I've been having a harder time this last few weeks actually hitting the weekly rep max, which means that I'm not getting the things that you convert into rep as drops as often. This is partly because I finished the rewards tracker, which always gave me more of those as I went through it, but partly because my playing is quite as consistent. Now that I finished the rewards tracker, I mostly only make sure to log on to do the daily challenge and get a few rep points. Otherwise, I log on when I'm ready to record some play throughs, and I don't do that every day.

I've got a few other odd issues. I can't find my sorcerer's interrupt, although I'm high enough level that I should have unlocked it. Did I miss it? Is it higher level now than it used to be and the other classes are? What's going on? I've also started playing my vanguard bounty hunter, and I'm getting weird drops for armor called the "Hutta Battler" pieces. The icons in my inventory don't work and look blanked out. I can, however, equip the armor and see it. I sold most of it, but when I noticed that the headgear looked like the Hutta agent drops, the Cunning Targeter's MK-1 or 2 Headgear, I equipped it on an alternate outfit, and it shows like normal. I really love these googles, and they only appear (normally) as early agent drops. All of my agents use them because I love them and nobody else, apparently, can. Except now, with what looks like a glitch, my vanguard bounty hunter can wear them too. I suspect that this is a glitch that they dropped for me at all, but I'm happy to take advantage of it, if so. If it's not, then the glitch is in the appearance in the inventory icons, where the image is missing.

I had actually thought that just playing through my vanguard bounty hunter was as good a method of picking up the underworld plans that I can convert into syndicate rep as any, but my luck there so far as been phenomenally bad. I'll probably do some more tonight, because it still seems as good a plan as wandering around anywhere else trying to get them by killing rando NPCs, but I'm really surprised that in playing several missions last night for the better part of an hour and a half or so I don't think I got one single drop of them. I've got to imagine that that's just bad luck, though. Hutta has normally been as good a source for those drops as anywhere else, and when playing around with this same character to get him to level 10 so he could equip his weapon before starting the story, I got lots of them.

Next week I'll probably try to play as much as I can and spread the love across many characters; we get a week-long double XP event. We also get the Dantooine pirates again, which I should probably play around with just a bit because I'm only Hero rank on the rep track, and later in the month I'll get to do bounty hunter again. I've already maxed out that rep, but there are plenty of things that I want to buy with the currency, and I'd like to do more of the kingpin bounties. Sadly, it costs the BBA currency to unlock the kingpin bounties, so if I do both, I'm cannibalizing my contracts currency somewhat.

Anyway, I've done some of my vanguard bounty hunter, obviously, and I'll keep going with him until I'm on Dromund Kaas, at which point I'll probably rotate to my mercenary smuggler, and then create my Sith Juggernaut (no class mismatch on that one. I'll just play a Sith Warrior as a Sith Warrior again.) Then, once nobody is left on my starting planets, I'll do a few people on the capital planet, and a few on Planet 3. Poor Elemer Kell in particular hasn't had any love in some time.
