McQuarrie Art Attack Part III
Luke and the rancor; another great example of how closely Lucas followed the McQuarrie art in most cases.
The arrival of Vader. Or maybe the emperor.
A sketch in the Mos Eisley cantina. Too bad we never got to see Chewie with that rockin' vest.
Hot trench warfare, looking almost exactly like it did in the movie.
A simple moment in the lives of some aliens.
The rebel base on Hoth; a view we really didn't get to see, sadly.
Not sure what this was originally meant to be, but it ended up being used, I believe, for a portion of the Senate building.
Luke's "landing" on Dagobah. I thought he was supposed to be this real hotshot pilot, by the way?
Dagobah over the clouds.
A planet concept (Alderaan, I think) that ended up being used as Lothal.
Fighters scrambling in the Death Star docking bay over Yavin.
The attack run on the Death Star as imagined by me while reading the novelization, where I deliberately tried to go back to the concept art stuff rather than the imagery of the movies.
Imperial capital concept art.
A movie poster, based on more finalized designs. Anyone know what that font it, by the way? I really like it.
Some Bespin concept art. The flying lizard thingie ended up being repurposed in Attack of the Clones on Kamino.
A special edition montage. Nice work.
A Greedo concept, or illustration.
Scrambling to being the Death Star attack sequence.
