Once again I've let a really long time go without any update. Here's something funny.
This last weekend I watched The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn. It was made in 1938.I also watched another medieval epic made in 1938: Alexander Nevsky. I was amazed at how primitive that movie is compared to the first; the script, the acting, the filmography, the "stunts", the dialogue, etc. All of it feels at least 20-30 years older than Robin Hood. It felt like watching a really old Douglas Fairbanks Sr. silent movie that had been overdubbed (in Russian) and subtitled.
So it was an interesting experience, and I've always wanted to watch that, but I honestly don't know that I can recommend it. Robin Hood on the other hand, is one of my favorite movies ever.
