I'm going to have to ditch reading Dance of Cloaks, because it's due and I'm not even close to finishing it. Too busy to read it in the last three weeks while I have it, and by library due date is up, and because someone else put a hold on the book, I can't renew it. I'll try again later.
That's not necessarily bad; because I'm also reading City of Rogues on my Kindle app, I was finding that I was getting the too books occasionally confused. They were too similar in tone, feel, and characters for me to really successfully separate them in my head. Probably one of the reasons I didn't make as much progress as I'd hoped.
Once Christmas is over, I hope to see my schedule free up a bit, so that I can more easily get through library books within the time frame that the lease period is.

May I ask why you suddenly stopped posting on EN World a year ago? Clearly you have still been busy with gaming related thought.
I had thought something untoward may have happened to you: I clearly failed as a detective because I never thought to look at the pages in your signature until it was pointed out to me.
Didn't enjoy it anymore. Same old arguments getting hashed out repeatedly. Same types of trolls continued to rear their ugly heads. Also; I had no interest in playing 4e, Pathfinder, or 5e, and fading interest in even playing 3e or 3.5, so most of the discussion was increasingly irrelevant to me.
I don't bear the site any ill will exactly. I just realized that I wasn't having any fun anymore after a while, and that my continued habit of going to the forums was just that--an empty habit that I was doing as ritual without thinking about it. With that realization, I quit more or less cold turkey one day.
I've made a handful of forays back into the fold here and there, but by and large, they've reinforced my decision fairly quickly when I've done so.
